The staircase suffered badly in a 1944 fire. Fortunately, the general layout and some of its decorative elements have survived. This allowed the undertaking of its partial restoration in the late 1950s.

The Chinese Gallery
The Chinese Gallery
The Gallery was designed in the Gothic style, its decoration matching the architecture of the gallery. Chinese porcelain was used to adorn it, such as vases, flasks, dishes, plates, cups, glasses, figures, and theatre group figurines. Damaged in the fire during World War II, the interiors have not been restored yet.
