The Amphitheatre
The Amphitheatre is among the park’s most interesting structures. It is circular in plan, measuring 65 meters in diameter with over 3 meter high walls of rammed earth.
Created in the late 18th century according to the design of architect N. Lvov, it was intended for “carousels” - theatrical presentations involving medieval, armor-clad men who demonstrated their weapons and horse-riding skills. The structure has not been completed.
