Lime Tree Garden
The formal Lime Tree Garden stretches along the Krasnoarmeysky prospect. It was planted at the same time as the Dutch Gardens and divided off from them by a ditch. In 1798 only lime trees were planted here, hence the name of the garden. Later, in the end of the 19th century, all the three gardens – Lower and Upper Dutch Gardens and the Lime tree garden – were heavily overgrown with lilac bushes and vegetation.
