Jordan Well

èîðäàíñêèé êîëîäåö.jpg

The granite-framed Jordan Well lies on the bank of Silver Lake and is fed by a freshwater spring. The spring has three steps leading down to it. Similar wells were arranged for the feast of Jesus’ baptism that took place on the Jordan River, as recorded in the Gospels. The spring never freezes and was perfect for the ritual of water consecration in the imperial residence.

From here you can enjoy wonderful views of the Island of Love, the Venus Pavilion, the Carp Pond, and the Admiralty Gate.
